The future of mobility is not a passive process that cannot be influenced, but requires design on several levels (space, infrastructure, vehicle technology, structures and forms of organization, ICT, etc.). Within the framework of this series of articles, building blocks from different areas are presented, which, individually or combined with one another, already trigger a local mobility turnaround. The following list includes works from different topics. The selection is not a bestseller, rather, the books mentioned are thought-provoking. Therefore, on the list are also some works, with the contents of which we do not agree or only to a limited extent. Nevertheless, they are worth reading because they open up new perspectives or encourage them to critically reflect their own position.

While some of the works on the list are popular literature, the majority of the recommendations refer to textbooks that sometimes require a certain amount of prior knowledge. Sometimes they are relatively bulky to read, written in jargon and only available in English. It is also appropriate to invest time for the reading. Therefore, books are likely to be limited suitable to unfold a broad impact.
