The prevalence of coal working spaces is increasing. Shared office spaces have become a highly effective strategy for cutting costs and growing a business with agility. Co-working has become a popular choice for freelancers and for businesses in many different industries. Understanding the demographics of workers that are entering into co-working can give you an idea on the people you may meet in these spaces:

Independent Professionals

Independent professionals like digital nomads as well as freelancers represent just below 20% of the people you will find in co-working spaces. These individuals are often working in co-working spaces as a means for collaboration and for achieving a set location for their business. 

Remote Workers

Small to medium-sized enterprises account for 37% of co-working users. The advantage that these enterprises can access includes the ability to rapidly scale within the company or make adjustments as necessary. 

Startup Teams

Startup teams represent 27% of co-working space users. These are small companies that are in their early stages working to collaborate and upskill. A coworking space can present the perfect opportunity for these businesses to rapidly scale by awarding them with work and a flexible workspace that can be used for launching their idea.
